Edge of Stillness
This shot had been on my list of compositions I wanted to capture for some time but the right conditions just hadn’t come yet. Until one week we had a full 3 days of rain, then one day a window of nice weather appeared before more forecasted storms were meant to hit.
I knew this would create for some really interesting conditions so I headed out to grab this composition. The lighting towards the end of the shoot became insane, as the sun moved between a gap in the clouds on the horizon I got some stunning light streaming onto the scene creating that “God ray” of light on the horizon.
Since this shoot, I try to go out more at the tail ends of storms as I’ve learnt this is the time when you can capture more interesting conditions.
